After missing from the big screen for a brief period, actor Swara Bhasker is now gearing up for her next drama, Sheer Qorma. Helmed by Faraz Ansari, the movie also stars Divya Dutta in a lead role. The makers of Sheer Qorma desire to put forth the story of acceptance of two queer women who break the stereotypes and redefine the norms. Sheer Qorma’s first poster out
Recently, the makers of the movie unveiled the poster of Sheer Qorma after much anticipation. The poster features Swara Bhasker and Divya Dutta embracing each other. Sheer Qorma chronicles the heart-warming love story of two traditional Muslim women. While Swara Bhaskar and Divya Dutta play lovers in the film, Shabana Azmi will be seen essaying the character of Divya’s mother in Sheer Qorma. Produced by Marijke De Souza, romantic drama marks the third film of Bollywood which showcases the love story of two women.

Movies like My Brother...Nikhil, Kapoor & Sons and Dostana have managed to strike a chord with the audience, as it ridicules the social norms. Many releases are lined up in the coming year too which deals with the topic of homosexuality. Adding to the list, Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is also based on the love story of two men. The movie also stars actor Jitendra Kumar in a prominent role.
