Shraddha Kapoor has evidently had an interesting career graph in the Hindi film industry. The actor has worked in blockbuster films and also a few flops at the box office. Shraddha made her debut in the South film industry with this year's multilingual film Saaho. The actor delivered two back to back hits at the box office in a span of two weeks with Saaho and Chhichhore.
Shraddha Kapoor's Bollywood journey
Shraddha made her debut on February 26, 2010 with the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Teen Patti. Besides Amitabh, the film featured R. Madhavan and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The film was a critical and commercial failure at the box office earning only near to four crores on a budget of 18 crores at the box office. The actor then signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films. The deal was reportedly eliminated by the production house when Shraddha's second film Luv Ka The End failed to create magic at the box office.
Aashiqui 2 - the turning point
Shraddha had evidently not worked in any film since 2011's Luv Ka The End. The actor was seen after a two-year break in 2013's Aashiqui 2 paired alongside Aditya Roy Kapoor. The film became a sensational hit by earning an estimated amount of 175 crores against a budget of 10 crores at the box office. The acclaim garnered through Aashiqui 2 reportedly helped Shraddha Kapoor in gaining better roles in films.
