Sonam Kapoor who is busy promoting her upcoming film 'The Zoya Factor' alongside Dulquer Salman, in a recent interview gave a fashion advice to 'Padmaavat' star Deepika Padukone. For those unaware, Sonam in the past had made some controversial (criticised) statements about Padukone's fashion sense. Cut to 2019, Sonam in a rapid-fire interaction with an entertainment portal said: "I think she has an amazing body. So she should like dress to show her body."
Recap to what Sonam said in the past
When Sonam Kapoor appeared on 'Koffee with Karan', she advised Deepika Padukone to 'create her own style'. She also further went on to compare Deepika's style with Katrina Kaif and said: "Katrina is herself. She does not try to fit into a mould, which I respect a lot. She is not trying to be the fashion icon of the century. Even if Katrina wears jeans and a T-shirt and has her hair in ponytail... I’d rather have that than someone who is like ‘I want to be on the cover of Vogue every three months."
Sonam Kapoor also called Deepika a 'good girl gone bad' and said that the one thing that she doesn't have but Deepika does is an 'over-enthusiastic PR team.'
The Zoya Factor
The film, an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel of the same name, revolves around Sonam Kapoor's Zoya and who becomes the lucky charm of the Indian cricket team, which is led by Nikhil Khoda (Dulquer Salmaan). Initially happy to be the lucky mascot, Zoya finds herself in a tough spot when people start looking up to her for every win in the game. The film, he said, depicts how people resort to such things as a way of cope with their failures.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, Pooja Shetty and Aarrti Shetty, "The Zoya Factor" also stars Angad Bedi and Sanjay Kapoor in pivotal roles. It will the hit screens on September 20.
