#ShameOnKaranJohar is currently a Twitter Trend No 5 in India trends after the director accidentally liked a tweet that put Shah Rukh Khan in a bad light against Akshay Kumar.
And now KJo himself took to his Twitter to clarify his stand. The director wrote: "Guys having a technical problem with my twitter account! Strange things are going on!from uploading shoe picture and gibberish to liking tweets I haven’t even read and would NEVER even acknowledge! Please bear with me and I apologise for any inconvenience! Sorting it out asap!" [sic]
Karan Johar was attacked by Shah Rukh Khan fans and Akshay Kumar fans for liking the abusive tweet. Salman Khan fans too joined in later. A user called Mannu Yadav read, "Half day colls [collections] of Kesari on Holi day (which is worse than pre diwali day) [is] greater than Zero full festival day collection." The tweet further compared the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. The user used expletives in his tweet to describe the same.
Karan Johar after putting out the explanation, tweeted a new song 'First Class' from his upcoming film 'Kalank'. The teaser of the film was launched on March 12. While the netizens were mesmerized by the grandeur of 'Kalank' teaser featuring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit, and Sanjay Dutt in the lead, the film seems to be dealing with the conflict of love. A few felt that the overall vibe of the teaser looks like a leaf taken from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's book.
The period drama set in the 1940s will be helmed by '2 States' director Abhishek Verman and will be jointly produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Fox Star Studios. It is all set to hit the theatres on April 19, 2019.
