The actor and her lawyer Adv. Satish Maneshinde have left Byculla enroute her residence after completing formalities at the jail. The Bandra police lodged the FIR against the duo on September 7, based on a complaint filed by Rajput's girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty, who is currently in jail in connection with a drugs case related to the actor's death. A division bench of Justices S S Shinde and M S Karnik took up the plea on Tuesday and then posted it for hearing on October 13, saying there was no urgency. In her complaint, Chakraborty accused Rajput's sisters and Dr Tarun Kumar of the Delhi-based Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital of forging a prescription of medicines supposedly for anxiety that were prohibited under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. He is in Mumbai now, it has been 2 days since they are back from Goa." Neeraj's uncle also claimed that 'Keshav gave the juice to Sushant on June 14 morning'. As per sources, peddler Usman Ali - who used to work as a delivery agent was arrested by Crime Branch & MD worth Rs 5.5 lakhs has been seized. During Usman Ali's interrogation, another peddler was also arrested, sources said. The peddlers used to supply drugs in Oshiwara & other posh localities of Mumbai. They were in touch with some actors too who they used to provide these drugs, sources said. Another peddler was arrested by Samata Nagar Police Station. According to sources, Basit regularly visited the Chakrabortys and their friendship evolved over a period of time. Abdul Basit was in touch with a prominent drug peddler named Sohail and sources said that he was the one who provided buds. Showik took Basit to parties and established his contacts whereas Kaizan supplied drugs to friends through Showik contacts. Sources also said that they tried to sell buds at the football club where youngsters would come to play. They said that Showik, Basit, Zaid, Kaizan, Karan and Abbas were dealing with curated marijuana or bud. They had purchased buds and sold it off at a profit margin of five times. A local weed has 7 to ten per cent THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) but buds have 28 to 35 THC which makes it very potent and lethal, sources said. The NCB is trying to locate Sohail, they said. 'When Sushant got to know about Disha's death, he became unwell, after which he spoke to Uday, manager of a company called Cornerstone. This company sent Disha as Sushant's celebrity manager when Shruti Modi had an injury. Sushant had become very tense after the news of Disha's suicide on the 9th of June. Because of this tension, he asked me to sleep in his bedroom. He kept asking me for every single information about Disha's death, I gave him every information,' Pithani's statement to CBI states. It is believed that they were supplying imported buds (marijuana, other banned substances) to budding artists within the film circle. The NCB is also likely to summon Gaurav Arya - the alleged drug dealer who found a mention in Rhea's chats accessed by Republic earlier. He is said to have had a role to play as well. The CBI has found big "technical lapses" in the investigation done by the Mumbai Police. Top sources in the investigating agency informed Republic Media Network that the probe team has found that certain procedures like (1) maintaining the "sanctity of the crime scene" were not followed as many people were allowed to enter the crime scene. The CBI is also (2) probing whether some leniency was shown towards a few people and they were not arrested or examined by Mumbai Police, sources said. The agency is probing this angle but has not mentioned any names. The CBI has made multiple visits to Cooper Hospital as they are (3) not convinced with the autopsy report of the late actor and has found some lapses there too, sources said. Siddharth Pithani, a former flatmate of the late actor, whose suspicious role and contradicting statements has come under the scanner of the investigative agencies, has told Republic TV, that he has given the 'names' to the CBI. While Pithani stayed mum on questions about CBD and drug links to Rhea, he asserted that he has answered 'correctly' to whatever questions were asked to him by the CBI. He also said that CBI will again grill him on Friday. Siddharth Pithani said: "I have given the names of who all were present and whatever the CBI asked me. I have answered their questions correctly. I am not answerable to anyone else. Let me go, the CBI has called me tomorrow again. I will answer to them." In a first major confession on Wednesday, sources told Republic TV that Siddharth Pithani, Dipesh Sawant, and Samuel Miranda have confessed to the CBI that eight hard-disks worth of data were cleaned out by the mystery group within the 24-hour-period that Disha Salian died and Rhea Chakraborty left Sushant's home.
