Her performances in films like Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Haider, Drishyam, and Adhadhun are well remembered and cherished by her fans even today. 1. According to reports, Tabu’s real name is 'Tabassum Fatema Hashmi'. She is the daughter of Jamal Hashmi and Rizwana. Reports say that the actor’s parents got divorced when she was three years old, and hence she felt that her father never had any contribution in her life and upbringing. Tabu is always seen talking about her sister and mother in interviews and has never revealed anything about her father.

2. Tabu reportedly has a lot of nicknames in the industry. Her friends call her 'Tabs', 'Tubs', 'Tubby', 'Tabba' and by many more names. Popularly, Tabu is called 'Tobler' by her costars in Bollywood. The actor has the most number of nicknames in Bollywood.

3. Reports say that Tabu, during her journey in Bollywood, has always been credited as a real actor. She has reportedly never cried onscreen by using glycerine. The actor has also never opened up about her fitness regime in her interviews but is often clicked by the paparazzi, while she hits the gym on a regular basis.

4. Tabu was only 10 years old when she made her first small-screen appearance in the Bollywood film titled Bazaar in 1980. At the age of 14, she acted in Dev Anand’s starrer Hum Naujawan in 1985. Her first prominent role in the industry was in a Telugu movie titled Coolie No. 1 opposite the southern star Venkatesh.
