Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero marks Ajay Devgn's 100th film in the Bollywood industry and is currently trending on social media after a fiery poster dropped yesterday. Recently, Akshay Kumar penned a heartfelt note for Devgn and also reminded him that the two had started their journey around '30 years ago'. Sharing another poster of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Akshay wrote, "We started our journey in this industry together...30 years ago. And I’ve seen your graph only grow from strength to strength. And as you are all set to mark your century with #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior, I wish you nothing but lots of love and luck. Shine on my friend @ajaydevgn (sic)," on Instagram.
About the film:
The film is based on the life of the great Maratha warrior Subedar Tanaji Malusare, who battled alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. The great Maratha warrior is celebrated for his important role in the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 AD. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced by Ajay Devgn. Kajol will be seen portraying the role of Tanaji’s wife. Ajay Devgn recently shared the first look and poster of the film on social media. It received positive reactions from his fans. The makers of the film have also revealed the first look of Saif Ali Khan who is playing the role of a Mughal fort keeper Uday Bhan Rathod as per a leading entertainment portal. The film is set to release in cinemas on January 8, 2020, and will clash with Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak which features Deepika Padukone in a leading role.
The actor will also be seen in the film Maidaan
