Uday Chopra finally breaks his silence over his 'I am not ok' tweet that got the fans worried about his mental health.

The actor took to his Twitter handle to clarify the story behind the tweet that he deleted. He wrote: "Seems like I tweeted something recently that got a few of you worried. I’m totally fine, its just my dark humour that sometimes gets misunderstood. Thanks for all your concern though."

Director Kunal Kohli immediately replied:

Netizens definitely took a sigh of relief after this. One user wrote: "Glad to know that you're okay", while the other said: "I actually followed you a few minutes ago on twitter since I read something in the news; obviously which I found concerning. Good to know you are fine. Please hang in there. Time and phase change very fast.", and the other tweeted: "To be fair not everyone understands your humor, I'm glad i do :)"

For those unaware, The 'Dhoom' actor took to his Twitter handle on Friday night to post about his mental health.

He wrote: "Confession: I am not ok! I am trying but so far I’m failing. For a few hours, I De-activated my twitter account. It felt as close to death as I could get. Was phenomenal! I think this is a good option for suicide. I might be doing it permanently soon."

Though the actor deleted the tweet later, Netizens showed concern over his cryptic tweet and started expressing their worry. One user wrote: "Hold on still @udaychopra . Depression does go away and then when you'll be healed,looking back things won't seem as bad as they look now. Stay. Just stay. Keep fighting no matter how many times you fall. Get up and fight again. Go see a therapist. Keep fighting. We all are here."

This was not the first time Uday Chopra shared his mental condition on social media. Back in June 2018, the actor wrote about his love life: "I wish I could love with the same intensity I used to love a few years ago. There was this girl and I felt alive just loving her. I’ve lost that now. I just want that passion back. Maybe that’s all I need." 

When in February 2019, he posted a cartoon on his Instagram which said 'Im staying in bed Snoopy, its too Peopley out there', his fans showered love and wrote comments expressing concern about his mental health. One fan said: "Sending love and strength your way. It gets better. You are not alone." [sic]
