The Zoya Factor hit the theatres on September 20, 2019. Although the film had a slow start, here is what netizens have to say about the film. The film is based on a popular 2008 novel of the same name by Anuja Chauhan. The film’s plot revolves around the life of an advertising agent who ends up becoming a ‘lucky charm’ for the Indian Cricket Team.
This is what film reviewer Suchitra Tyagi had to say about the film.
#TheZoyaFactor | While talking about some serious social issues at its core, this movie is light, breezy and just some silly fun.

Most importantly, it doesn't take itself too seriously which is mahaa refreshing.#NotAMovieReview for @FilmCompanion https://t.co/Tgxewlzh1W pic.twitter.com/3EDeU4bfhg
This is what ‘Friday Matinee’ from the South Indian Film Industry had to say about it.
#TheZoyaFactor tooks a disastrous opening at the All India Box Office with a gross hardly above 1Cr , i.e; way less than what @dulQuer 's medium budget movies achieve at the Kerala Boxoffice.

Rohit Jaiswal, a film critic, and trade analyst, took to his social media to review the film this way.

Anuj Radia, founder at FilmyShine and a UK based entertainment journalist, said,
Saw #TheZoyaFactor & once again critics have got it wrong. I genuinely had such a gala time watching it.The fun, feel-good, Mills & Boons style was refreshing to watch. I loved @sonamakapoor as Zoya. I genuinely think you did a good job.. At times you reminded me of Juhi Chawla!

Dulquer Salmaan portrays the role of Nikhil Khoda, making the audience fall in love with him. Playing the caption of the Indian Cricket Team, he sways the audience with his acting skills and charming looks. Although Sonam Kapoor's character of Zoya appears to be a forgettable one when compared to other films in her filmography.
Box Office performance
The Zoya Factor's collection on its opening day at the box office was a mere ₹65-70 lakhs. The film failed to attract a larger crowd even on the weekend. But due to Dulquer’s popularity with the South Indian masses, the film did good business in the state of Kerala. Due to its off-beat plot, the film received a lot of mixed reactions on social media.
