Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has issued a public statement on his social media with regard to the release of his movie, 'Super 30' and Kangana Ranaut's 'Mental Hai Kya', given that the two are clashing at the box office.

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has issued a public statement on his social media with regard to the release of his movie, 'Super 30' and Kangana Ranaut's 'Mental Hai Kya', given that the two are clashing at the box office. Drawing a statement to put an end to the public harrasment aimed at him, the actor said,“So as to not allow my film to be desecrated by yet another media circus, I have decided to shift the release date of my film SUPER30 in order to save myself from the personal trauma and toxic mental violence this would cause."

Here's his statement: 

He further added, "Over the past few years, to my utter dismay, I have been witness to a lot of us cheering and encouraging what was/is an open and blatant case of harassment. I must even now, wait patiently and silently for the collective consciousness of society to take cognizance of such matters in order to maintain our faith in the civility of our society.This unrelenting helplessness must end”.

Prior to this, in an official statement, producer Ekta Kapoor took to her Twitter handle and issuing a statement on the clash wrote: "My decision my film.....so all brickbats directed to me pls! I’m my own person !!!" [sic]

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut's 'Mental Hai Kya' has been making headlines as The Indian Psychiatric Society had filed an official complaint to Prasoon Joshi, chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demanding a change in the title. The committee further wrote, "We take serious objections to the title of the movie which is discriminative, stigmatising, degrading, inhumane in projecting mental disorders and people who suffer from mental disorders."
