Vicky Kaushal is all set to be seen in Sam Manekshaw's biopic Sam Bahadur. The actor recently attended the iconic derby match between East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan at the 132nd Durand Cup in Kolkata and shared his experience about the same on social media. He also shared how Manekshaw himself had graced the event in the past.

Vicky Kaushal expresses joy after attending Durand Cup
Vicky Kaushal took to social media and shared glimpses from the match. From striking a pose with the football to meeting players, the photos featured it all. The actor expressed his awe for the historical significance of the event and said that the 132nd Durand Cup is the oldest tournament in Asia and the third oldest worldwide which is organised by the Indian Army.
Notably, former Indian Army officer FM Sam Manekshaw had previously graced the event on several occasions and presented trophies to winning teams.
Vicky Kaushal to portray Sam Bahadur
Vicky Kaushal will be seen in the upcoming biopic Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The film portrays the life of India's war hero and first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Alongside Vicky, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh play significant roles in the movie. The film will hit theatres on December 1.
Meanwhile, Vicky recently wrapped up shooting for a romantic-comedy film, alongside co-star Tripti Dimri. The film's title, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, was revealed on social media. Vicky was last seen in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, opposite Sara Ali Khan.
