The fact that ‘Happy Birthday Virat Kohli’ trended on Twitter much before the clock ticked Monday's midnight proved the superstardom of the Indian cricket captain. As one of the greatest batsmen of the modern era turned 31, there were wishes galore from not just fans, but also celebrities, not just cricketing fraternity, but also sports and Bollywood fraternities. However, the fans’ day would not have been complete without a message from his ladylove Anushka Sharma. The actor obliged this anticipation from fans with a beautiful message for her husband. Anushka, who is currently vacationing with Virat in Bhutan, conveyed through some heartwarming pictures, her love for Virat, terming him as a 'blessing', friend, confidante, and her ‘one true love’. She wished him ‘light’ to follow the right path in his life. She also hailed his compassion that helped him flourish as a ‘good leader’, and prayed more of it for him.
Anushka Sharma on Tuesday evening shared some breath-taking photos with the lights, as they light the lamps and posed in its beauty. There was an adorable selfie too, something they have kept fans awestruck with many of them since their wedding. The Band Baaja Baraat star captioned the post, “This one is my blessing . My friend , My confidante , My one true love .I hope you find the light guiding your path always and may you choose to do the right thing every time . Your compassion is what makes you a good leader and i pray that you always have that in abundance . Happy Birthday my love ❤️🙏✨”
Bhutan diaries
Anushka and Virat are currently having a gala time in Bhutan. A day before, Anushka had shared one of their memorable experiences when they met a local. She had then written, “Today , during our 8.5 km uphill trek we stopped by a small village on a mountain to pet and feed a baby calf who was born just 4 months ago . While we did that the owner of the house asked us if we were tired and wanted to have a cup of tea ? So we went in to the home of this beautiful and warm family who had absolutely no idea who we were and yet they treated us with such warmth and love . We spent some time with them chatting and drinking tea and the whole time they just know us as two tired trekkers ! Whoever knows virat and me very closely, know that both of us live for such moments of genuine , simple & pure human connection . It fills us with such joy and peace knowing that they just wanted to be kind to two random foreigners ( plus our guide ) without seeking anything in return. If this is not the true meaning of life then i dont know what is . A memory we will cherish forever 🙏💜✨”
Earlier in the day, Virat had shared a snap with his ‘soulmate’ to convey his gratitude for the wishes. His note to his 15-year-old self had also made headlines. In the note, the Indian captain tells his younger self to not feel dejected with all the hurdles, and continue to chase his dreams. Be urging his 15-year-old to cherish his father’s hugs and the parathas or asking him to continiue to work hard, it was creative and touching at the same time.
