'Dangal' fame Zaira Wasim's decision to quit Bollywood citing religious reasons has stirred the industry as several celebrities came forward to extend their opinion on the same. While some have welcomed the decision with surprise and remorse, there were many who felt that she should not have given a religious connotation to her decision.
Joining an array of celebrities who expressed their opinions on her sudden exit was Alia Bhatt's mother actress Soni Razdan who recently took to Twitter and said that she 'respects her decision' but would like to welcome her back in the industry with open arms in the future.
In a recent Twitter post, the 'No Fathers in Kashmir' actress said, "I just hope she grows up to realize that if you love what you do, that is exactly what God would want for you. And acting and the creative arts are in no way something dreadful or self-indulgent. To make people feel, cry, laugh, think & connect is in itself a noble thing to do."
"Having said this I would certainly respect her decision as this business can be hugely overwhelming and often quite frightening. @ZairaWasimmm you’re so young and you may feel differently in 4 years time.. we will welcome you back with open arms sweetheart if that is so," Soni Razdan added.
