According to Ali, Sindhuri and her relatives allegedly used state resources and funds to illegally seize land.
Ali has previously raised concerns about land grabbing. In December 2022, he tagged the Karnataka Director General of Police in a social media thread, claiming that his trust property farm was being illegally encroached upon by Sudhir Reddy and Madhu Reddy, purportedly with Sindhuri's assistance.
Rohini Singhuri's previous legal battles
Rohini Sindhuri is also involved in a legal dispute with IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil. On February 18 of the previous year, Sindhuri discovered Moudgil had made several allegations against her on Facebook, accusing Sindhuri of sharing private pictures with fellow IAS officers, according to Bar and Bench. This led to a public conflict, resulting in the state government transferring both officers.
On February 21, Sindhuri sent a legal notice to Moudgil, demanding an unconditional apology and ₹1 crore in damages for reputational harm and mental distress, according to Bar and Bench. Subsequently, on March 24, a Bengaluru court initiated a criminal defamation case against Moudgil based on Sindhuri's private suit. Moudgil then sought to quash the case in the High Court, but her plea was rejected on August 21, prompting her to approach the Supreme Court, where the case is currently pending.
