After Nagarjuna, Dhanush Gets Slammed For Mistreating Fan | Watch

Telugu superstar Nagarjuna faced backlash when his bouncer pushed a differently-abled fan at the Mumbai airport who was trying to engage with him. Nagarjuna, in the city with Dhanush for the film Kubera, later apologised for the incident on social media. Before the controversy settled, another video surfaced showing Dhanush's bodyguard pushing away fans on the sets of Kubera.

The video shows Dhanush walking towards the beach from his caravan, with fans eagerly taking pictures and videos. The bodyguards intervened, pushing the fans away, which sparked criticism online. One fan questioned why Dhanush was shooting in a public space instead of staying indoors.

This is not an isolated incident of Tamil celebrities facing criticism for similar actions. Actor Sivakumar, father of Suriya and Karthi, was previously criticised for pushing away a fan’s cellphone when they tried to take a selfie without permission. Similarly, Ajith Kumar faced backlash for taking a fan’s phone who attempted to photograph him.

What do we know about the film Kubera?

Currently, the shooting of Kubera is ongoing in Mumbai. This film marks the first collaboration between Dhanush and Nagarjuna, under the direction of acclaimed Telugu director Shekhar Kammula. The film, which has been shot in various locations across the country, previously encountered issues when the crew was banned from shooting in Tirupati. Now, these incidents with fans have brought the film back into the spotlight.

In addition to Dhanush and Nagarjuna, Kubera features Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in significant roles. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and the film is set to release in 2025.

Meanwhile, Dhanush’s directorial venture Raayan, a gangster drama set in North Chennai, is slated for release on July 26. The film stars SJ Suryah, Sandeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, and Dushara Vijayan in pivotal roles.
