AR Rahman Celebrates India's Epic T20 World Cup Win With A Special Rendition Of Team India Hai Hum

Team India lifted the T20 World Cup after 17 years on June 29. Soon after the whole country broke into celebration and even after two days the celebration hasn't stopped. Speaking of which, Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman has gifted a song titled Team India Hai Hum from Maidaan to the Men in Blue as they won the nail-biting match against South Africa.

AR Rahman's special gift to Team India

Taking to his Instagram handle, AR Rahman shared a video congratulating Team India after their epic World Cup win. In the video, he can seen performing the song Team India Hai Hum from Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan. The music video was shot at ARR Film City with Rahman and his band of singers and orchestra.

Sharing the video, he wrote, "Celebrating India’s #t20worldcup2024 win, Enjoy our #teamindia song performance."

The original song was sung by AR Rahman and Nakul Abhyankar in the movie Maidaan, which is based on the life of Indian football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim.

A.R. Rahman’s documentary Headhunting to Beatboxing to have its world premiere at IFFM 2024

Helmed by Rohit Gupta, the documentary traces the journey in Nagaland, of rhythm and sound, tracing the evolution of music across cultures, tribes and generations. Headhunting to Beatboxing' will premiere at the festival, where it is also competing for the Best Documentary Film. Speaking about the film’s premiere at the festival, Rahman said, “The film is very special to us, as it throws light on the beautiful state of Nagaland and highlights the rich cultural and musical history it contains. Rohit and I are looking forward to the premiere and showcasing it to the audiences in Melbourne.”

The festival will be commencing on August 15 and will conclude on August 25. The festival, which is an annual celebration, is presented by the Victorian Government.
