Former Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim's father Zahid Wasim died on Tuesday, May 28. She took to her social media handle to pay tribute to her father. Zaira earned fame with her debut movie Dangal, starring Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Please remember him in your prayers and ask Allah to forgive his shortcomings, make his grave peaceful, protect him from its torment, and ease his journey from here ahead." She went on to star in two hit movies Secret Superstar and The Sky Is Pink. However, after giving memorable performances in all three movies, Zaira announced she was quitting her career as she felt that her profession was damaging her peace, iman, and her relationship with her religion. In 2019, she penned down her note saying she was "not truly happy with the identity" and while her work indeed brings a lot of love, support, and applause her way, it also did was to lead her to a "path of ignorance".The Sky Is Pink, starring Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Rohit Saraf, was her last movie.
