DYK Yash Chopra's films DDLJ, Chandni had a strange connection with numbers 3-6-9?
A popular numerologist recently talked about a famous 369 pattern and shared how Yash Chopra used this combination in his movies.
Do you know Yash Chopra used to apply the 369 patterns in his films' titles or release dates? Numerologist Rishabh Grove recently broke down the pattern to explain how the number 369 played a major role in the success of his films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Chandni.
How Yash Chopra used 369 pattern in films
During The Pinkvilla Podcast, Rishabh revealed about 369 pattern and how Yash used the combination in his films. He said according to numerology, everyone's name is given a number and it is called "Chaldean Calculation". Every alphabet is given one number and the value is from 1 to 8. Elaborating on how the veteran director applied the method in the title and release date of the film, he gave an example of Kajol's hit film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and said, "It comes under number 6. The short form of the film DDLJ comes under number 3."
He adds Sridevi starrer Chandni and Kabhi Kabhie come under numbers 6 and 9 respectively. Bunty Aur Babli comes under 9 and was launched on the 27th while Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was released on the 12th and falls under number 12 as well.
When Yash Chopra broke the 369 pattern
The numerologist continued that YRF broke the pattern for the sequel of Bunty Aur Babli and earned negative reviews from critics. He said, “The patterns also broke and recently the sequel to Bunty Aur Babli titled Bunty Aur Babli 2. The original film had 9 and the sequel had a number 2 and was launched on the 19th,” he said.
Yash Chopra started his directorial career with the 1959 film Dhool Ka Phool and since then he has given numerous blockbuster hit films such as Mohabbatein, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer-Zaara, Bunty Aur Babli, Fanaa and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
