Raveena Tandon shares throwback photo of 'heroes' Sam Manekshaw, her father Ravi Tandon

The Vicky Kaushal led Sam Bahadur recently released in theatres on December 1. The film, a biopic on the life and service of the former Former Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army Sam Manekshaw, has been enjoying a fairly decent run at the box office as it contends for footfall with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. Regardless, the film has brought to the forefront, Manekshaw's indelible service to the country. Raveena Tandon recently shared a personal memory featuring her father Ravi Tandon with the Chief of Army Staff.

Raveena Tandon shares a glimpse of her 'two heroes'

Raveena Tandon took to her Instagram handle to share a vintage, unseen photo, featuring her father Ravi Tandon along side Sam Manekshaw. The actress referred to both the men as heroes - the latter for his service to the country and the former for his social work and being her personal source of inspiration. The picture in question is from the time Manekshaw visited the sets of Ravi Tandon's 1974 film Majboor starring the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Pran and Parveen Babi among others.

How is Sam Bahadur faring at the box office?

As per a Sacnilk report, Sam Bahadur debuted at the box office with humble earnings of ₹6.25 crores. The film's collections saw a spike over the weekend, earning upwards of ₹19 crores, however, failed to pass the Monday test with collections dropping back to ₹3.5 crores.

Sam Bahadur has maintained a steady pace in its first week, having roughly earned ₹36.91 crores.
