Sharda Sinha Health Update: The popular Bihari folk singer has been admitted to the AIIMS hospital in the National Capital. Last night, her son shared an update on her condition and mentioned that she is critical. The Prime Minister has called Sharda Sinha's son Anshuman Sinha to enquire about her health and extend support to the family. Most popularly known for her folk songs for Chhath, the singer's il health has been a cause of worry for fans as the festival commences today.
PM Modi calls Sharda Sinha's son to inquire about the singer's health
As Sharda Sinha's condition worsened, the Prime Minister called her son to check up on her health. As per ANI, PM Narendra Modi inquired about Padma Bhushan awardee singer Sharda Sinha's medical condition. He called her son Anshuman Sinha and assured all kinds of support for her treatment. Her son had previously confirmed that the singer is on life support.
The celebrated artist, known for her soul-stirring folk renditions during the Chhath festival, is critically ill and currently receiving care at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Sharda Sinha, 72, has been battling multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, since 2018. Her condition worsened on Monday, leading to her being placed on a ventilator. According to an official statement from AIIMS, the singer is "haemodynamically stable but under constant monitoring."
