Known for her beautiful voice like a nightingale, the singer has won several accolades- National Film Awards, BFJA Awards, Kerala State Film Awards, and other Filmfare Awards.

Professional achievements

At 4, Shreya Ghoshal began her training in classical music. After being noticed by Black director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mother, her road to success was destined in the entertainment industry.  Later, she was honored with the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer, a Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer, and a Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent.

Besides becoming the favorite of millions because of her songs in movies and albums, she turned out to be the best in television reality shows. Later, she was honored by the state of Ohio in the United States of America where Governor Ted Strickland declared the date June 26, 2010, as Shreya Ghoshal Day. In 2017, she became the first Indian singer to get a wax statue showcased in the Madame Tussauds Museum in Delhi.

In a long list of her songs, Nagada Sang Dhol, Dhak Baja Kashor Baja, Chikni Chameli, Teri Meri, Param Sundari, etc are some of the popular song tracks. In 2015, the singer got hitched to her childhood friend and long-time beau Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya. In May 2021, she gave birth to a son-Devyaan.
