Now, the makers of the action franchise have also responded to this buzz on their official X handle, calling him the 'Turkish John Wick'.

The 51-year-old Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec has become the talk of the town after competing in the Paris Olympics 2024. His viral fame isn't just because of his silver medal win in the mixed team 10m air pistol event with his partner Sevval Ilayda Tarhan, or his age. But, his no-frills gear technique that recalls an iconic scene from the movie John Wick. 

While other shooters in air pistol events wear specialized goggles and ear protection, Yusuf Dikec secured the silver medal just by using prescription glasses and earplugs. The official John Wick film franchise account took to the X and reposted it by responding to the post with a simple, "Yeah."

The joke isn't limited to Hollywood, as Indian actor Adil Hussain also finds himself in the spotlight. One netizen mistakenly identified Hussain as Olympic shooter Yusuf Dikec due to their resemblance. In a humorous post, the netizen congratulated the English Vinglish actor on winning at the Paris Olympics. The actor too took notice of the mistake and reposted the image and wrote, “Wish this was true... Maybe it's not to late to start practicing... Since I have the attitude need to work on the skill set now..” His reaction is now going viral on social media.
