When Ranbir Kapoor Called Virat Kohli 'Better Than Many Actors': He Should Play Himself In Biopic

Virat Kohli is currently one of the biggest cricketing superstar and with several accomplishments, many even wondered if the cricketer would be approached by Bollywood at any point of time. On the occasion of his birthday, Ranbir Kapoor had revealed who should play Virat Kohli , in the latter’s biopic.

Ranbir Kapoor on who should play Virat Kohli

During the ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final match between India and New Zealand, Ranbir Kapoor had commented on a potential Virat Kohli biopic which may be in the works. At the match, Ranbir Kapoor was asked to comment on a much publicised potential biopic centred on Virat Kohli's rise and rise. Ranbir Kapoor, who has been one of media's frontrunners when it comes to speculations about essaying the cricketer's role on-screen.

When the host, Jatin Sapru, asked Ranbir to suggest an actor for a Kohli biopic, Ranbir replied, “If a biopic is made on Virat Kohli, then Kohli should play the role of Kohli in it because Virat looks better than many actors and his fitness is also very good.”

According to several reports, casting director Mukesh Chhabra had shared that Virat is a great actor, since he is from Delhi and he is a Punjabi. He had also said that he has maintained himself at every level and is a great guy.

When Virat Kohli too had appreciated for Ranbir Kapoor

In an interview with comedian Sumukhi Suresh, titled Virat Unplugged, the cricketer listed his top three songs. Interestingly, all three of them feature Ranbir Kapoor.

The songs in question are the title track from 2016 romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil of the same name, Channa Mereya from the same film followed by Deva Deva from Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva.
