Jasmin Walia, a British singer, is making the headlines after netizens speculated that she is dating Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. Who is Jasmin Walia?

She is a British singer and television personality who has recorded songs in three languages - English, Hindi and Punjabi. She was born in  Essex, England to parents of Indian descent. She started singing at the age of around 7 or 8 but didn't pursue it as a career. She worked for  Natwest Bank as a Customer Adviser for a few years and was enrolled with the ACCA for an accountancy course. However, she eventually dropped out to start her career in showbiz.

In 2010, she started working as an extra in the British reality TV series The Only Way Is Essex and was promoted to full cast member in 2012. Two years later in 2014, she created her YouTube channel and began uploading song covers alongside artists including Zack Knight, Intens-ti, and Ollie Green Music.

Jasmin Walia's Bollywood connection

Jasmin's big musical breakthrough came in 2017 with the release of Bom Diggy with her long-term music partner Zack Knight. The video received 8,630,000 YouTube views in less than two months. The song was presented by T-Series, owing to which, the music company thought of remaking in one of the Hindi movies. Owing to this, Jasmin made her Bollywood debut with her song titled Bom Diggy Diggy in the 2018 movie  Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, starring Kartik Aaryan. The song peaked at number one in the Indian pop charts for several weeks and is still played at the parties.

In July 2020, Jasmin became the first British Indian female singer to be featured on the Times Square Billboard for her single Want Some. She has also worked with Bogg Boss 13 finalist Asim Riaz in 2022 in the music video Nights n Fights.

Hardik shared a reel on his Instagram handle, where he can be seen walking beside a pool in a printed shirt and white pants. Soon after he dropped the photos, fans who also follow Jasmin noticed a similar poolside spot. A few days ago, she had also dropped photos posing in a blue bikini paired with a blue breezy shirt and in the background we can see a pool with the Mykonos landscape.
