Guns and Gulaabs teaser: Dulquer Salmaan oozes swag, Rajkummar Rao swings into action mode

Guns and Gulaabs is an upcoming web series starring Rajkummar Rao and Dulquer Salmaan among others. The makers released the teaser for the series today (July 28). Along with the teaser, the trailer date has also been announced.

Of broken bottles, bullets and Gulaabgunj

The makers unveiled the teaser of Guns and Gulaabs today (July 28). Lasting 45 seconds, the clip begins with retro music, and shows a smashed bottle of a cold drink against a backdrop of roses. A glimpse of Rajkummar donning a unique hairstyle and holding a gun in his hand surely is a surprise look. A milestone sign with ‘Gulaabgunj 6 km’ imprinted on it follows.

The video, designed like a motion poster, shows flying objects like metal tools, glass objects, perfume, a pack of cards, an old cassette, a love letter, a knife, a board that shows the sign ‘testing zone’, a bullet bike, and blood around, along with roses in slow motion. There’s also a signboard with ‘Vayu Auto Works’ written on it.

Released on Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday 

The gangster comedy marks the web series debut for Dulquer Salmaan, who celebrates his 37th birthday today. In the teaser, he is seen as a tough and intimidating character. As per the synopsis, from the first kill to the first kiss, in Gulaabgunj anything can happen, gangs run riot, a cartel heir is reluctant to pull the trigger on his new life, a mechanic is looking for love, and an officer is struggling to keep his secrets.

The series has been directed by Raj & DK, who are also tasked with directing the Indian version of Citadel. Apart from the ones mentioned, the series co-stars Adarsh Gourav, TJ Bhanu, Gulshan Devaiah, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja A Gor in key roles. (With inputs from IANS)
