Alec Balwin’s Family Accompanies Him At Manslaughter Trial, Know All About His Wife And 7 Children

Alec Baldwin is facing legal charges of involuntary manslaughter for an incident that took place on the sets of his movie Rust, three years ago. The actor was insistent on attending the trial alone, but as per sources, his family travelled with him to the Santa Fe, New Mexico courthouse to show their support. Alec and his wife Hilaria share 7 children under the age of 10.

Actor Alec Baldwin tied the knot with his wife Hilaria in June 2012 in a star-studded wedding. The couple first met in February 2011  New York City restaurant Pure Food and Wine. They started dating in the following Summer. Following their wedding, the couple welcomed their first child Carmen in August 2013. In July of 2015, the duo embraced parenthood for the second time and welcomed their son- Rafael Thomas. 

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria became parents for the third time in 2016. They renewed their wedding vows the following year, and welcomed another son in 2018. Hilaria suffered a miscarriage in April 2019 and the couple lost their 4-month-old baby in November 2019. The couple welcomed their fifth child in 2020 followed by embracing parenthood through surrogacy in 2021. The couple welcomed their seventh baby in September 2022. Alec and Hilaria share seven children, including Carmen, 10, Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 3, María, 3, and Ilaria, 19 months.

Other than his children with Hilaria, Alec Baldwin also has a daughter Ireland from his first marriage with actress Kim Basinger. The couple got divorced in 2002. Ireland is now a 28-year-old known fashion model. 

Alec Baldwin’s family accompanies him to trial 

A source close to the family told People magazine that Alec Baldwin interned to attend his trial alone. "Alec wants to put on a brave face and go to the trial alone, but his family will be present to support him," the source says. However, Haliria and the couple’s two children were seen accompanying him for the trial. 

Baldwin is facing his involuntary manslaughter charge in the fatal shooting on the set of the film Rust in 2021. The trial is scheduled for July in Santa Fe and Baldwin has pleaded not guilty. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison. While filming the Western movie, which Baldwin produced and starred in, a revolver he was holding fired, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. Baldwin has said that he did not pull the trigger.
