Yorgos Lanthimos' dark comedy 'The favourite' dominated the nominations for the 72md BAFTA awards with 12 nominations. The film has been shortlisted in most of the main categories and is significantly ahead of Bohemian Rhapsody, First Man, Roma and A Star Is Born, which each received seven nominations. 

Harley Squires (I Daniel Blake), and Will Poulter (Black Mirror: Bandersnatch) read out the shortlisted names from the British academy's headquarters, The Hollywood Reporter wrote. 

The awards ceremony will take place on February 10 at the Royal Albert Hall. Joanna Lumley will be hosting the ceremony for the second year running.
