Cuban singer and song-writer Camila Cabello paid tribute to the pop queen Madonna during her performance on 'Saturday Night Live' on October 12. For the first time, she performed her latest single, 'Cry for Me' wearing a dress inspired by Marie Antoinette which was also worn by Madonna on her famous performance for 'Vogue' at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1990. All the dancers for Cabello, men and women, were wearing the French resembles from the 18th century.

Madonna's inspiration

The 61-year-old American singer, Madonna is known to herself have drawn inspiration from the film 'Dangerous Liaisons' for her performance in the MTV awards back in 1990. The venue for those awards was Gibson Amphitheatre in Brooklyn which was also not far from the venue of Cabello's performance on Saturday Night which took place at SNL's Studio 8H home at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan. After her first song, Cabello was seen changing her attire to a white gown to perform her ballad 'Easy'. 

'Cry for Me'

The 'Senorita' singer Camila Cabello recently released her third single  'Cry for Me' which is a breakup song, from her upcoming album 'Romance'. The song was also hoped to have the potential to shoot at the top of Hot 100 and hold the position for quite some time. 'Cry for Me' is also one of the top two songs from her upcoming album and while posting about it, she even welcomed her fans to the 'world of romance'. The single has been written by Cabello herself, along with Louis Bell and Frank Dukes. The trio also worked together on the 22-year-old's one of the greatest hits, 'Havana'.
