He is referred to as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time. He was given the title of 'King of Hip Hop' by a leading magazine. His first album was Infinite in 1996. Grammy Awards
Originally called a Gramophone Award, a Grammy is presented to recognize achievements in the music industry. It is considered as the biggest award for artists in the music industry. Eminem received his first Grammy for My Name Is as Best Rap Solo Performance and also won Best Rap Album for The Slim Shady LP. Since then, Eminem has won 15 awards from 44 nominations. It is an annual award show where people vote on the internet for their favourite artists, actors etc. Eminem received his first award in 2002 as Favourite Male Musical Performer. His other wins are Favourite Male Artist, Favourite Hip-Hop Artist, Favourite Song and Favourite Music Video. Eminem has won 7 awards out of 10 nominations.
World Music Awards
The World Music Awards is an international awards show which are presented to the world’s best-selling artists in the various categories. In 2001, he received the first award as World’s Best Selling Rap/Hip-Hop Artist. Eminem has won 10 awards out of 13 nominations. It includes World’s Best Selling American Artist, World’s Best Live Act and World’s Best Entertainer.
