Eminem Refers To Mahatma Gandhi In The Theme Song Of 'Venom'!

American Rapper Eminem has reportedly drawn the reference from India and Mahatma Gandhi in the title track of the upcoming Hollywood film 'Venom'. Eminem, who has been working on the theme track of the Fantasy-Science fiction film has created a new track for the film which is also a part of his album 'Kamikaze'. As per reports, he mentioned India and father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi in the track. He has also mentioned several other eminent personalities including former professional racing driver Danica Patrick, hip-hop artist Yung Joc, author Edgar Allen Poe and rapper Dr. Dre.

The rapper took to social media and announced the making of the song. He released a teaser of the song on Twitter, sharing a 15-second video. The lyrics in the teaser said: "Venom, knock, knock, let the devil in", followed by the sounds of an animal roaring and a shrill cry in the background.

In the song, Venom reportedly compared himself to a 'bloodthirsty symbiote', which has been questioned for having minimal reference to the film. 'Venom' is based on a Marvel anti-hero of the same name and shows the journey of a reporter, Eddie Brock, who eventually develops superpowers after serving as a host to an alien parasite. The film helmed by Ruben Fleischer the film stars Tom Hardy as Venom. It also stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott in lead roles.

The animated character 'Venom' was created in 1988 by Marvel Comics and it appeared for the first time on the silver screen in 2007 in the Tobey Maguire starrer 'Spider-Man 3', where he was first portrayed by Topher Grace. Initially, the character was planned to be portrayed as a minor character, that did not explore his alter-ego Venom, but later producer Avi Arad felt that the 'Spider-Man 3' villain should get a bigger space to play and thus venom got the opportunity to flourish as a multi-dimensional character. In fact, as per reports, Arad had revealed his plans for a spinoff film focused on Venom in July 2007.

The movie will mark the first collaboration between two cinematic giants Sony Pictures and  Marvel Entertainment, along with Columbia Pictures and Pascal Pictures, who will produce the film. Sony Pictures India will release the film in India. 'Venom' is all set for its US release on October 5, 2018.
