F1 Teaser Out, Brad Pitt Feels The Need For Speed As He Gets Behind The Wheel

Brad Pitt starrer movie about Formula 1 coming to cinemas next year will simply be called F1. The teaser of the film was released by the makers on Sunday. The first footage, without giving away much about the film's plot, hints at a huge scale and edge-of-the-seat moments on the race tracks with Pitt behind the wheel. The release of the film is being planned for June 2025.

F1 teaser hints at thrill on the race track

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is a co-producer of the project, which collected footage at F1 circuits around the world this year and last. In the teaser, Pitt is seen having a conversation with another character in the movie and tells her that he needs a "car for combat", which need not be "safe".

In the film, Pitt plays a former driver who returns to F1 alongside a rookie teammate, who is played by London-born actor Damson Idris. Their fictional team is called APXGP. Idris' look in the film was also unveiled in the film's teaser.

A Formula 1 movie filmed mounted on a huge scale

Pitt's F1 is mounted on the big scale. The same was evident in the film's teaser. The exhilarating revving of the F1 engines and screeching f tires on the track foreshadow a big screen experience like never before.

The footage for F1 was taken at Silverstone — home of the British Grand Prix — and at the Hungaroring near Budapest; as well as the historic Spa Francorchamps in Belgium; Japan’s popular Suzuka track; and Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun: Maverick fame.
