Harry Potter Co-stars 'Ron' Rupert Grint, 'Padma' Afshan Azad Reunite After 2 Decades As Parents
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Ron Weasley, who had asked Padma Patil to the Yule Ball, refused to dance with her in the series.
It's been 19 years since Rupert Grint and Afshan Azad featured together as Ron Weasley and Padma Patil in the fourth instalment of Harry Potter and it seems Ron has still not asked Padma for a dance. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Ron, who had asked Padma to the Yule Ball, refused to dance with her. Now, recalling the sweet memory from the show, Afshan shared a photo from the duo's recent reunion at the London Film & Comic Con.
When Ron Weasley met Padma Patil after over 19 years
Taking to her Instagram handle, Afshan shared a photo posing with Rupert from their recent meetup and penned a hilarious caption recalling Ron and Padma's awkward Yule Ball moment. She has shared a now and then photo. In the first, the duo looked all grown-up as they happily posed for the camera, while the next is a still from the show. In the caption, she wrote, "Padma & Ron reunited after 20+ years. Oh, how parenthood has changed us all. ps He’s still not asked me to dance."
Soon after she shared the post, their ardent fans flooded the comment section. A user reacting to the comment wrote, "Come on Weasley! Get to the dance floor!" Another wrote, "Come on Ron! Time for you to be a better date and ask her to the dance floor!" A fan wrote, "This made me tear up- SO proud of who both of you have become and thank you for all the magic you gave us when we were kids."
Will the cast of Harry Potter reunite in the near future?
If makers decided to adapt The Cursed Child in the film then there are chances that Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Grint might reunite. On June 23, Warner Bros announced that they were working on a series on Harry Potter. However, the makers are yet to share more details regarding the cast and director of the series.
