American actress, theatre performer, singer, and songwriter Idina Menzel who voiced Queen Elsa in Walt Disney's animated movie Frozen is reportedly in consideration to play the stepmother in Camila Cabello's 'Cinderella'. US media reported that the Grammy award winner is poised to essay Evelyn, Cinderella's evil stepmom. The news follows the announcement that American Broadway theatre performer, singer, and actor Billy Porter is in negotiations to play the fairy godmother in the modern reimagining of the classic fairytale. As per reports, Camila Cabello will play Cinderella in the upcoming Disney feature which is set to film in London next year in February. As per details of the movie, it will be directed by Kay Cannon and produced by James Corden, Leo Pearlman, and Jonathan Kadin. The film will release on February 5, 2021.
Idina Menzel's career
As per reports, Idina rose to fame with her role as Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical Rent which earned her a Tony Award nomination in 1996. She also played the same role in the musical's 2005 film adaptation. Menzel also played the role of Elphaba in the Broadway musical Wicked which won her the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2004. Later, her 2014 musical If/Then, earned her a third Tony Award nomination. The actress has also played Shelby Corcoran on the musical dramedy TV series Glee from 2010 to 2013 and Nancy Tremaine in the 2007 Disney live-action/animated film Enchanted. She voiced Queen Elsa in Walt Disney's Frozen (2013), in which she sang the Oscar- and Grammy Award-winning song "Let It Go". The song also reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart reaching the top 10. Her album Holiday Wishes released in 2014 also reached number 6 on Billboard 200.

Her next venture includes Disney's Frozen 2 and the trailer is out. Fans have had their first chance to listen to the film's soundtrack. Along with new footage, Menzel as Elsa sings her heart in Into The Unknown, which even at first listen seems destined to be the next Let It Go.
