Iron Man aka Robert Downey Jr. recalls the time he turned host for the 'Women of MCU', celebrates 'girl power' with unmissable throwback pictures
As the 11-years long journey of the Avengers finally culminates, 'Iron Man' star Robert Downey Jr. took to social media and shared a couple of throwback pictures reminiscing the time he hosted a lunch for the women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios' 'Avengers: Endgame' make a grand debut on April 26, and fans have been buzzing about the same ever since. As the 11-years long journey of the Avengers finally culminates, 'Iron Man' star Robert Downey Jr. took to social media and shared a couple of throwback pictures reminiscing the time he hosted a lunch for the women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The picture shared by the actor features all the woman superheroes of 'Avengers: Endgame' right from the very old Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff) to Elizabeth Olsen(Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff) to Zoe Saldana (Gamora), and others to the new joinee Brie Larson (Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers). It also features Gwyneth Paltrow aka Pepper Pots who played Downey Jr.'s love interest in MCU.
All of them can be seen donning their movie costumes as they posed for the photograph with Robert Downey Jr. aka Tony Stark with a big smile on their face. Robert Downey Jr. who has been playing Tony Stark aka Iron Man in the film franchise for 11 years now is one of the pioneers of team Avengers. He is one of the strongest pillars of the film franchise and now, with 'Endgame' the character has achieved yet another remarkable feat securing his place as the most celebrated actor in the history of MCU.
'Avengers: Endgame' which is the fourth and final venture of the 'Avengers' franchise is a direct sequel to 'Infinity War' from the last year. Directed by the Russo Brothers, the film is the 22nd instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The grandeur of the film seems to have surpassed the expectations of the audience, as they have lauded the project widely on social media and described it with words like 'Epic' and 'Incredible'.
The film has smashed several other records worldwide. As per media reports, the film has collected over 304 million US Dollars at the international box office with a huge part of that tally coming from China.
It brings together all the Marvel superheroes, played by actors including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Jeremy Renner, Evangeline Lilly, Jon Favreau, and Paul Rudd. In fact, Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson who debut in MCU as Captain Marvel recently will also be a part of the film. Meanwhile, actor Josh Brolin will also resume the role of Thanos in the upcoming venture following 'Avengers Infinity War'.
