'It’s an incredible honor': John Cena officially joins the cast of 'Fast and Furious 9'

After Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Roman Reigns, WWE wrestler-turned-actor John Cena is all set to debut in the 'Fast and Furious' franchise with the ninth installment of the popular action film franchise. Cena, 42, took to Twitter to announce the news that he has joined the franchise and will star opposite veterans Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, both of whom are reprising their roles as Dom Toretto and Letty Ortiz in the upcoming venture. Sharing a report stating the same, the 'SmackDown' star wrote, "For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history. It's an incredible honour to join this franchise and this family." The franchise has collectively grossed USD 5 billion worldwide since first being launched in 2001. 'Furious 7,' which featured the late Paul Walker's final appearance, is the top performer, having hauled $1.5 billion globally.
