As per reports, Jason Statham is set to star in the remake of 2004 French thriller Le Convoyeur. The film will be directed by Guy Ritchie and will be produced by Miramax. The actor recently starred in Hobbs and Shaw, which has earned $758 Million globally.

Details of the remake 

Reports suggest that the director and actor have previously collaborated on two British action movies Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The remake shall be financed and produced by Miramax. The Hobbs and Shaw actor will reportedly be playing a cold and mysterious character 'H' working for an armoured truck company which is in charge of transporting millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.

Le Conveyeur,  the original film starred Jean Dujardin and Albert Dupontel. Director Guy Ritchie has said that he is looking forward to bring the story to life and work with Jason while he still has the use of his knees. Miramax and Ritchie last collaborated on crime thriller The Gentlemen starring Matthew McConaughey which shall release on January 24 in 2020.

Jason Statham's recent works

Recent works of Statham include The Meg and he recently was a cast member with Dwayne Johnson in the Fast and Furious spin-off- Hobbs and Shaw which has earned $758 Million globally. His other work credits include The Transporter, Crank, Spy and The Expendables.  As per reports, his innings in films from the year 2002 to 2017 has resulted in USD $1.5 billion in ticket sales worldwide.
