Latin Grammys 2019: Mon Laferte wins Best Alternative Album for Norma

Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte, known by her popular name Mon Laferte, a singer-songwriter and actor, recently won the Best Alternative Album for Norma at the Latin Grammys 2019. The singer reportedly ranks with the most nominations in a single edition of the Latin Grammy Awards throughout the years. Some of her most renowned albums are Tormento, Si Tú Me Quisieras, Tu Falta De Querer and Amárrame. Mon Laferte wins the best alternative album for ‘Norma’ at the Latin Grammys 2019 The Latin Grammys 2019 Awards was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 14 in Las Vegas. The red carpet event saw a slew of celebrities gracing the biggest night in Latin music fraternity. On this special night, singer Mon Laferte received the best Alternative her 2018 album titled Norma. She narrated a three-minute speech through which she expressed her emotions. She thanked her colleagues, especially her fans and said that nothing could have ever been possible for her without her fans. In her acceptance speech, she revealed that the album was recorded in one take. "This is for Chile”, she said. The singer also read a note from a fellow Chilean singer/songwriter addressing the current socio-political events happening in the country. Watch her video here.
