Florence Pugh was recently seen playing the role of J. Robert Oppenheimer's love interest Jean Tatlock in Oppenheimer. Even though the actress had limited screen time, she received praise for her role as a psychiatrist and physician. In an interview with MTV UK, the actress revealed that director Christopher Nolan was apologetic about the size of her role in the movie.

Florence Pugh recalls Nolan's apology
In the interview, Florence Pugh opened up about her role in Oppenheimer. She revealed that she did not have much idea about the movie, but she knew that Nolan wanted her to know that the role wasn't a big one. The Little Women actress further recalled the time she met Christopher Nolan in New York while filming Zach Braff's 2023 drama titled A Good Person.

“I remember he apologised for the size of the role. I was like, ‘Please don’t apologise.' And then he said, ‘We’ll send you the script, and honestly, you just read it and decide if it’s like… I completely understand the sizing thing.' And I remember that evening when I got the script being like, ‘I don’t need to… I know I’m going to do it,'" Florence added.
