As the trailer of the much-anticipated Hollywood film 'Pokémon: Detective Pikachu' released on Monday, November 12, Pokémon fans are buzzing about it. In the trailer, the Pokémon, who was originally known to speak nothing other than "Pika Pika", can be heard speaking in a human voice. 'Deadpool' actor Ryan Reynolds has lent his voice to the 3D Animated Pikachu, and the hairy version of the cartoon character is winning over the Internet. The actor announced the trailer release through an Instagram post where he shared a part of the trailer. He captioned the post as saying, "I think we all knew I’d wind up as a miniature detective repeatedly saying the same two words. Just didn’t think it would be this soon. #PikaPika#detectivepikachu"

While the trailer of the film is no doubt interesting, netizens are divided on the appearance of the Pokémons. The hyper-realistic looking Pikachu has raised the eyebrows of many, while some have found the furry Pokémon adorable.

The project is the first live-action film based on the Pokémon franchise. Besides Ryan Reynolds, the film also features Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton and Ken Watanabe in live-action roles. The film is all set to have a worldwide premiere on May 10, 2019.
