Just after a week of spliting from her marriage to Jacob Pechenik, American actress, model and singer-songwriter Zooey Deschanel is reportedly dating Canadian star Jonathan Scott. According to a US Magazine, Scott, 41, and Deschanel, 39, were spotted on a date and were photographed holding hands. Deschanel had a guest appearance on the television series Veronica's Closet in 1998 and made her film debut in Lawrence Kasdan's comedy Mumford (1999). She is best known for the show 'New Girl' and film '500 Days of Summer of Days'. She was previously married to 'Death Cab for Cutie' lead singer Ben Gibbard from 2009 to 2012. The actress has been nominated for Emmy and Golden Globes and received a Grammy. Jonathan Silver Scott is known for co-hosting the show Property Brothers with his twin brother Drew. The brothers also own Scott Brothers Entertainment, which creates TV, film, and digital content for North American and international broadcasters.

A source to the magazine said that the two seemed pretty happy together. Its still in initial stage and Zooey met Jonathan accidently, the source added.

Deschanel's divorce

On September 7, Zooey Deschanel had announced her separation from husband Jacob Pechenik. The two were married for four years and were parents to two kids - Elsie Otter (daughter) and Charlie Wolf (son). After her marriage, she converted her faith to Judaism, which was Pechenik's religion. The couple got married after in June 2015 after their engagement in the same year. The ex-couple in their official statemnt said the the two would continue to remain 'friends, business partners, and co-parents' for their two children. Pechenik was an executive film producer.

Her first marriage

She was initially engaged to musician Ben Gibbard, lead vocalist for Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service in December 2008. The couple held their marriage cermony at Seattle, Washington on September 19, 2009. In 2011, they announced their separation. Citing 'irreconcilable differences', the two gradually finalized their divorce on December 12, 2012.
