Bagheera Box Office Collection Day 1: Sriimurali-Rukmini Vasanth Starrer Takes Slow Start On Diwali

Bagheera Box Office Day 1: The Kannada movie hit the big screens on October 31, coinciding with Diwali . The film features Sriimurali and Rukmini Vasanth and is helmed by Dr Suri. Despite a festive release, the film has not been able to pull the audience to houseful theatres. However, given the extended Diwali weekend, it is expected to register a better business going forward.

Bagheera day 1 box office off to a slow start

On the opening day, the movie earned ₹2.80 crore, per Sacnilk. Bagheera had an overall 43.29 per cent Kannada occupancy with a maximum reported in Mysuru (64.75 per cent). Besides Kannada, the action thriller was released in theatres in four other languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

The film seems to have a positive word of mouth and is expected to register a better business in the coming weekend. Bagheera's action blocks, its vigilante justice storyline and the visuals have received thumbs up from those who watched it on the big screens.

Bagheera likely to become the first Kannada movie to stream on Netflix

Besides the theatrical business, a big part of a movie's total business comes from OTT deals and partnerships. In a historic move for Sandalwood, reports suggest that Bagheera might be the first Kannada film to be backed by Netflix. The OTT giant is yet to confirm the reports, but a post on X (previously Twitter) has hinted towards the same.

Besides the report, a user also hinted at the same. “OTT release in Netflix this d game changer for sandalwood  It’s worth watching in theatres n first super hero movie of Kannada meets it’s hype n @SRIMURALIII delivers a stunner performance  Kudos to @hombalefilms, another feather on their hit list.” However, the official announcement is still awaited.
