Filmmakers approach film chamber to register titles

According to a recent media report, filmmakers have approached the association to register the titles. However, the reports suggest that the titles have been turned down as the case is still ongoing. Titles like Pattanagere Shed, D-Gang and Khaidi No 6106 have been sent to the film chamber for registration. Filmmaker Rocky Somli, who sought to register title D-Gang shared that he had zeroed in on this title 2 years ago. He added that he even has a song composed on similar lines.

"All this was done way before Darshan was arrested. In fact, it has nothing to do with the ongoing case. After Darshan’s arrest, I saw many news channels running programmes with similar titles, and that is when it struck us to register the title before anybody else does. But the film chamber has refused to approve it. We hope we get the title because it was planned 2 years ago and we have enough proof to show that," he added.

Shiva Rajkumar reportedly said that he’s being cautious while commenting on Renukaswamy's murder case. “There is such a thing as destiny. There is nothing we can do when it comes to that. Shiva Rajkumar also insisted that people wait for the judiciary's verdict in the case before jumping to conclusions. “Both Renukaswamy and Darshan’s family are pained by this. I feel sad looking at Darshan’s son. We must face everything. An investigation is underway. Let’s wait for the outcome. What must happen will happen. I don’t want to say anything more on this.
