When KGF Star Yash Opened Up About Comparisons With Prabhas: I Will Be The First...
In 2022, while promoting KGF: Chapter 2, Yash responded after being compared with Prabhas, despite both actors being pan-Indian stars.
Kannada superstar Yash is currently busy filming his upcoming project Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups. The actor took to his social media handle to share the photo from the muhurat puja recently.
When Yash reacted to his comparison with Prabhas
According to Bollywood Hungama, KGF star asserted that Prabhas is also a fantastic actor, but he did not want himself to be compared with anyone. Yash even shared that comparisons with the Baahubali star was a compliment because of what the latter has achieved. The Rajadhani actor stated that he also believes in how to 'be yourself' mentioning that he always stays away from comparison.
He further added, "KGF’s essence of the belief system, which comprises the hero and his heroism, has been inspired by the kind of films that starred Big B in the 70s Hindi cinema."
Yash commences shoot for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups
Yash took to X and shared a photo in which he was posing with a team member. The actor was seen donning a new hairdo seemingly for the movie. Sharing the photo, he wrote, "The journey begins #Toxic."
Before the filming, Yash was spotted with his family and Toxic crew at several temples in Bengaluru to seek blessings. He visited Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple and the Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya.
About Yash’s upcoming project Toxic
Toxic is been helmed by Geetu Mohandas and it will explore the dark world of the drug mafia in the 1950s. In the movie, Yash is expected to play the role of a drug lord.
Reportedly, Kareena Kapoor was supposed to play the lead role opposite Yash. Now, rumours are rife that either Sai Pallavi or Tara Sutaria have been finalised for the leading role. The movie is being bankrolled by KVN Productions. Toxic is scheduled to release in theatres on April 10, 2025.
