Yash Commences Shooting For Toxic A Fairytale For Grown Ups, Shares Photo From The Sets

KGF fame Yash has commenced the shooting of his next project Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups, today, August 8. The actor took to his social media handle to share the photo from the muhurat puja. The movie has been in the news since it was announced last year owing to the cast.

Taking to his X handle, Yash shared a photo in which he is posing with a team member. The actor is donning a new hairdo seemingly for the movie. Sharing the photo, he wrote, "The journey begins #Toxic."

Prior to commencing the filming, Yash, along with his family and Toxic crew, was snapped at several temples in Bengaluru to seek blessings. He visited Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple and the Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya.

What else do we know about Toxic?

The announcement of the movie was made with a special teaser on December 8, 2023. Along with the title announcement, the makers also announced the release date as April 10, 2025. The movie is being helmed by Geetu Mohandas and it will explore the dark world of the drug mafia in the 1950s. In the movie, Yash is expected to play the role of a drug lord. Earlier, it was reported that Kareena Kapoor would play the lead role, but later she backed out of the project. Now, rumours are rife that either Sai Pallavi or Tara Sutaria will be finalised for the leading role. The movie is being bankrolled by KVN Productions.
