Jisoo of BLACKPINK has reportedly chosen to pursue solo activities under her brother's agency after declining to renew her individual contract with YG Entertainment. The Flower singer, who was rumoured to be joining G-Dragon's new agency, has decided to work with her family and has joined forces with the agency Blisoo.

BLACKPINK’ Jisoo to join brother's label?

According to an exclusive K-media report published on January 2, Jisoo has joined her brother's agency, Blissoo. Biomom, Inc. has a subsidiary entertainment startup called Blissoo. According to the report, the singer's brother is the label's CEO. Notably, Blissoo recently posted a job posting looking for experienced employees, with Jisoo's picture fueling speculation.

Jennie, another BLACKPINK member, made her debut with her own label, OA, before Jisoo. Since then, the singer has been active on various social media platforms, which could be a hint at upcoming new and fresh releases from her label.

However, when questioned, a Biomom, Inc. spokesperson declined to comment, according to Allkpop. "It's complicated to define the company's relationship with Blissoo. I don't know the CEO's family relationship either," they said.

Why did BLACKPINK not renew their contract for solo activities?

On Friday, YG Entertainment officially announced that Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo will not renew their contracts or extend their individual contracts for solo projects under the label. A few days ago, all the members of BLACKPINK renewed their contracts with YG for group activities.

The statement read, "Hello, this is YG Entertainment. BLACKPINK recently renewed their contracts with YG for their group activities, and we have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members’] individual activities. We will do our utmost to support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts. Thank you."
