According to Yonhap news updates, Yongsan Police Station has now forwarded Suga’s case to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office. Last week, Suga attended a police questioning and confessed to the charges. The case, concerning a violation of the Road Traffic Act, was referred without physical detention at 2:00 PM KST today, August 30. This update follows Suga’s summoning to Yongsan Police Station a week ago for further investigation. During a 3-hour interrogation, he admitted to the charges.
The incident was first reported 17 days ago. On the evening of August 6, the Seoul Police found Suga in the Hannam neighbourhood of Yongsan district after he had fallen from his electric scooter. His blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was 0.227 per cent, which was above the 0.08 per cent limit that led to license cancellation in South Korean law.

Since the incident, the K-pop band member Suga has shown deep regret and apologised many times to his fans. After attending police questioning last week, he admitted to the charges and addressed the media, saying, "Firstly, I am very sorry. I am deeply reflecting on how I have greatly disappointed many fans and people. I will cooperate fully with the investigation. Once again, I am sorry."
Suga has also apologised further on Weverse, BTS's fan platform. In his latest letter, he wrote, "I am deeply ashamed and apologise once again. I regret having disappointed and hurt my fans and everyone who cares about me through my mistakes. I neglected my responsibility to repay the love I’ve received by acting in a way that reflects that love, and I made a serious error." The case got more heated due to Suga's current mandatory military terms.
