Han Ji Min-Choi Jung Hoon Dating: K-Drama Star's Agency Takes Legal Action Over 'Malicious Slander'

Trouble is brewing for Han Ji Min as the actress is facing backlash for dating actor and singer Choi Jung Hoon. Two months back Han Ji-Min’s agency had confirmed that the couple are dating and even issued an statement.

Why is Han Ji-min facing criticism for dating Choi Jung Hoon?

Han Ji Min relationship with Choi Jung Hoon is creating headlines since the actress is 10 years younger than the latter. According to reports, her agency, BH Entertainment, has decided to take legal action. 

The agency issues a statement and wrote, “We have confirmed that Han Ji Min has been continuously subjected to malicious slander, personal attacks and the spreading of false information. After hiring a law firm, we have submitted a formal complaint to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul. Furthermore, we will continue to take strong legal action against defamation and insults directed at Han Ji Min, which are being publicly carried out on various platforms such as SNS, online communities, cafes, and portal sites."

The agency added, “We sternly warn those who are spreading malicious slander, groundless speculation, and false information about our actor Han Ji Min, as well as other actors under BH Entertainment. Any act of defamation or insult that harms the reputation and dignity of our actors online is a clear criminal offense, and we would like to make it clear that there will be no settlement or leniency. The malicious comments and materials provided by our fans are greatly aiding in the preparation and response to the legal action”.

How did Han Ji Min and Choi Jung Hoon meet?

The couple met in August 2023. For the unversed, Han Ji Min appeared on The Seasons: Choi Jung Hoon’s Night Park and the two sang together Jannabi’s A Thought on an Autumn Night and 10CM’s Spring Love, which is interestingly the OST of Han Ji Min’s drama Our Blues.

Han Ji Min had also shared that she practiced extensively for the performance and expressed her admiration for Choi Jung Hoon, mentioning that she had attended a Jannabi concert.
