Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran share new poster of L2 Empuraan ahead of first look reveal
Mohanlal took to his Instagram handle and shared a new poster that shows him on the battlefield. In the image, we can see two helicopters and a rifle.

Mohanlal and Prithviraj are filming for the Lucifer sequel L2: Empuraan. Towards the end of the last month, the makers announced the wrap of the first schedule. Now, as they are busy shooting for the film, the makers are gearing up to unveil the first look of the film. Mohanlal shared a new poster on his social media handle announcing the same.
When will L2: Empuraan first look with the release?
On Friday, Mohanlal took to his Instagram handle and shared a new poster which shows the battlefield. In the image, we can see two helicopters and a rifle. In the caption, he revealed that the first look will be released on November 11 at 5 pm. He wrote, "#L2E - EMPURAAN. First look 11/11/23; 5PM IST"

Helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film went on the floors in early October after the actor recovered from his injury. It marks the actor's third directorial venture after Lucifer (2019) and Bro Daddy (2022). Prithviraj, took to his Instagram handle, to share the photos from the puja muhurat. In the caption, he wrote, "The cameras start rolling as #L2E – Empuraan starts shoot today."
The storyline is touted to revolve around the journey of Stephen Nedumpilly and how he became Khureshi Ab'Ram, the leader of an international crime organization. Empuraan is a collaborative production between Aashirvad Cinemas, led by Antony Perumbavoor, and Lyca Productions, signalling the latter's debut in the Malayalam film industry. The script is penned by Murali Gopy, who had written the script of Lucifer. Deepak Dev composed the music and Sujith Vasudev served as the director of photography.
L2 will release in five regional languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. It is expected to hit the theatres either end of 2024 or early 2025.
