Movies releasing this week: Salaar, Aquaman 2, Neru - new titles to look forward to in theatres

This week will wind up with some exciting releases that have been in the offing for long. Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's pan-India film Salaar will finally release on the big screens on December 22. It will clash on the big screens with Jason Momoa's much-awaited Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom. The final film before the DC Studios begins its new chapter will release on December 1. Here's a list of films releasing on the big screens this week.

Salaar

Prashanth Neel's Salaar is all set to release worldwide on December 22. Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran will play onscreen brothers in the gritty action drama, which promises to be Baahubali star's box office comeback after a string of flops.

Aquaman 2

Jason Momoa's Aquaman 2 will close the chapter on the old DCEU. The new film promises to be one of a kind underwater action epic, directed by James Wan. It will release in India on December 21 and also stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Patrick Wilson.

Neru

Malayalam star Mohanlal and Priyamani's courtroom drama Neru will release on December 21. Set against the backdrop of the Indian legal system, Sara, a blind sculpture artist, seeks justice after a traumatic incident, taking you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, deceit and redemption.  

Kabuliwala

Based on Rabindranath Tagore's short story of the same name, Kabuliwala stars Mithun Chakraborty and will release on December 22. Set in the bustling city of Kolkata in 1965, the film revolves around the heartwarming connection between Rahmat, a middle-aged Afghan man, and Mini, a little girl.

Aranam

Set in Aranthangi, a zamindar lives with his prodigal son Mayavan and two adopted fraternity sons, Kathir and Sakthi. After the sudden death of Mayavan, the zamindar registered the house to his fraternity sons and the same night, zamindar also passed away. Can Kathir find answers to unanswered questions? The Tamil horror film will release on December 22.

Odavum Mudiyadhu Oliyavum Mudiyadhu

Tamil film Odavum Mudiyadhu Oliyavum Mudiyadhu follows a diverse group is trapped in a quirky theatre and ends up discovering its mysterious secrets. As they attempt to escape, a strange twist leaves them questioning reality. It will release on December 22 on the big screens.
