Reunion after 6 years

After more than a decade together, the band had announced its break up in 2013 when the band's lead singer Gerard Way posted a note on Twitter saying, “My Chemical Romance is done. But it can never die. It is alive in me, in the guys, and it is alive inside all of you. I always knew that, and I think you did too. Because it is not a band—it is an idea.” The band even posted an official statement on its website explaining their decision:

“Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We’ve gotten to go places we never knew we would. We’ve been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible.

We’ve shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.”

However, My Chemical Romance is now officially returning with their show. Fans of the band are now expecting a comeback record or a series of tours with more vibrancy into the rock genre. My Chemical Romance is best known for some of the memorable hits like 'Welcome to the Black Parade', 'I Don't Love You', 'Disenchanted', 'Helena' and many more.

After the band split, each member went on to pursue his own ambition. The frontman Gerard Way was in the news for his award-winning comic book series The Umbrella Academy, which later became a successful series adapted by Netflix. Its story is about a group of adopted superheroes in a dysfunctional family who reunite to face apocalyptic threats and solve mysteries.
